Wrestling has been a passion of mine ever since I was 6 years old. I started wrestling when I was 5 years old and I lost every match, but the 6U coach (Tim Gilbert) encouraged me to stick with it resulting in being a 6U State Champion at 55 lbs. That was the beginning of my love for wrestling. My desire to win and be competitive resulted in placing 2nd at Missouri Youth State as a 7th grader (12U 100 lbs) beating a very tough kid 2-1 to make it to the Championship match. My knowledge of the sport and will to compete has continued to generate a very productive high school career.
My coaches tell me that my strongest asset is my work ethic, leadership, and maintaining position. Personally, my strongest asset is to wrestle smart, my attacks, and not giving up.
Overall, I am a very well-rounded high school student athlete as I compete in football (Academic All Conference - 2nd team defense), track (pole vault), band, National Honors Society, 4-H and FFA. As well as very involved in my community and church. As everything is possible through my strength in Jesus.
My goal is to wrestle in college and ultimately pursue a future career in either sports analytics or as a high school wrestling coach.
