Matthew Kovacs '20 Recruiting Profile

I have always been a bigger kid than others my age, and during my 8 years of MMA training I often had to complete against athletes who were much older than me. Through hard work, dedication and experience competing in this type of environment, I was able to become a better wrestler once I joined my middle school team. 

I dedicate everything I have every day to being a stellar athlete. I am driven, goal oriented and passionate about wrestling. I received my varsity letter freshman year. My "eye of the tiger" mentality helps me to succeed on the mat. I am continually working to become a leader on my team by helping younger and less experienced wrestlers. 

My ultimate goal is to be a starter on a college wrestling team and to be successful in both athletics and my future career in Film and Media.
