I have been wrestling since around 6 years old. I got into wrestling because of my older brother and my father. I wouldn't see myself doing any other sports besides wrestling. Before high school, I competed individual and on dual teams during many tournaments and events. When I came to high school, it was a lot different considering I had to wrestle older kids than me, and wresting became a lot more serious. I finished my freshman season at 34-6, 2nd in district 30, and 5th in region 8 (New Jersey). During the summer I came across an injury and couldn't compete or practice all summer. I bounced back sophomore year at 36-4, 1st in district 30, 5th in region 8. I have a lot of small goals, and a good amount of big goals like 100 wins, 1st place in regions, state placer and much more. I don't only have goals for wrestling. I have good academic goals like continuing to be an A and B student all throughout high school. My coach has always told us that academics before sports, however I didn't understand how important that is until beginning of sophomore year when work started to get harder.
