Personal Statement

My name is Terrence J. Davis Jr and I’m from Ocean, New Jersey. While attending Saint John Vianney High School in Holmdel, New Jersey, I’m a three years varsity wrestler. My wrestling career started when I was age 7 years-old and I have earned multi-national and state placing in USA wrestling, AAU wrestling, NHSCA wrestling, New Jersey High School District 21 placer, New Jersey High School Wrestling Region VI qualifier, USA Freestyle and Greco wrestling tournaments. I’m an aspiring, dedicated, hardworking, and motivated student-athlete;  and I have a thirst for any knowledge that will sharpen my wrestling skills. Therefore, my thirst for knowledge will enable me to compete at any NCAA Divisional level.

I have been training thus far in my early career for competing at the NCAA Division I level. My ultimate goal is to achieve the highest level as a Gold Medalists as a NCAA Divisional wrestler, earn All-American status, and prepare to represent the United States as an Olympic wrestler. I am currently searching for any NCAA Divisional wrestling program that is looking to enhance these qualities so that I can become the perfect fit. The perfect fit, to me, is a program that will improve my wrestling techniques, talent, hunger, and valuable desire to compete at the highest level. Nevertheless, my desire to excel will allow me to set a new record for career wins at Saint John Vianney High School during my upcoming Senior year. My skills are not limited just to wrestling. I have strong community services and experience in teaching youth wrestlers at Elite Wrestling Club in New Jersey. I believe that every wrestler needs to give back to the wrestlers looking up to them and I try to show this in my everyday actions.
