I am a good candidate for your team for a multitude of reasons. For starters, I am very academically successful throughout high school, taking almost all of the Honors/Ap courses available. Freshmen year, I started my high school experience at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey. Don Bosco Prep gave me an academic scholarship to attend, and I also started varsity wrestling my freshmen year. That summer in 2018, I tore my labrum in my shoulder wrestling at NUWAY nationals. I got the surgery and also transferred back to my public school. After returning to public school, in my second match back I tore the labrum in the same shoulder, resulting in another surgery. I feel that most athletes would have given up after getting back to back surgeries that resulted in missing over a year of competition. I took this setback as a challenge. I returned to the mat as soon as I could, and placed 2nd at the Passaic County wrestling tournament at 152 Pounds. I then went on to win a district title and took 5th at Regionals. I am a hardworking and determined athlete with tons of heart and competitiveness inside me. I plan on having a breakout Senior year, and I'm doing everything in my power to make it happen.
