Gabriel Gangwere '25 Recruiting Profile

My goal to achieve in this program is to get to the next level of academics and through athletics I have found success but strive for more. Although I am currently in one of the best academic schools in the city of Albuquerque; Early college academy a school that requires the most out of their students. I am still questioning my choices to pursue a field of study that intrigues me, I am very proficient in literature being proficient in two languages, and currently am in the process of learning a third. I have a keen eye for history as the experiences from the past fascinates me. Through my work flow at school I can manage to play sports year round without having to take grand intermediate breaks in between seasons, I have a couple years of Varsity experience under my belt but decided to transfer since me and my family thought it would be a great idea to challenge myself and pursue my educational prowess, at ECA, many teachers work to improve their students in all aspects of life, through this system I have learned and relearned some of the same goals and methods that other successful people in the world have used to accomplish their goals. Since a young child I have always been involved in some sort of club or athletic team, as these experiences help shape me into the person I am today, there are more important things in life than playing sports. Keeping a balanced lifestyle between athletics, family life, school life and your social life all come into factor into making crucial decisions that will impact your future. In doing so finding the right time to make a decision for myself comes at the state of my own well being as these young teen years will have more of an impact on myself later down the road. I have found wrestling to be a great motivator to keep me in check and would be grateful of any program willing to let me in and experience what it is like being in a college environment doing collegiate athletics.
