Growing up I played many different sports but narrowed my focus to wresting during my freshman year. Freshman season is when I discovered that wrestling is my escape from life's issues and problems. Wrestling helps me focus and clear my mind, the mat room is a nice escape from reality, I cannot imagine life without wrestling.
After the high school freshman season ended, I became a member of RAW (Raleigh Area Wrestling Club). I trained throughout the year and set a goal to place in the top three at the high school state tournament after only qualifying my freshman year. I am happy to say I took second in the 113 pound weight class at NCHSAA 4A state tournament my sophomore season, and second in the 126 pound weight class at NCHSAA 4A state tournament my junior season. I continue to train with RAW and travel to national tournaments to seek out the best competition. I have set new goals for wrestling, one of them is to wrestle in college after I achieve my high school goals. I will be a great addition to any college room.
