I started wrestling in my freshman year and I’ll be honest, being almost 80 pounds and 0 experience in the sport, it did not go well, in fact, my stats were 2-5 that year.
I fell in love with the sport, and enrolled in a wrestling club in the off-season. My stats improved in my sophomore year (17-13), but I had higher expectations. I made a goal my junior year to qualify for states and win at least my first match there, which I accomplished. In the same way I desire to become better, keep humble and strive to make a difference through the medical field some day.
