Personal Statement

In 7th grade, I set 2 goals for myself: to wrestle collegiately and to be an All-American. I lead by example both on and off the mat.  I eat, sleep, train, drill, compete, and live in a way that brings my best and helps others be at their best. I believe this to be a call of God on my life. To seek Him first, to win, and to see and help others around me win.

My mindset differentiates me from many others. Before every match, I pray and ask God to help me represent him to the best of my ability. Another thing that makes me special as a recruit is that I not only love winning, but I love the process of winning. I embrace every second of practice, making weight, and staying disciplined to reach my maximum potential.

I am my toughest critic, as I take ownership in all things, on and off the mat. After every match, I analyze each match on film to see what things need to be worked on and make a plan to continually improve.

Technique makes me different from other wrestlers. I take pride in perfecting and drilling moves repeatedly to make them muscle memory. I also have a high attack rate, looking to score from all positions.

Academically I am disciplined and organized, knowing what needs to be done to achieve the high marks. I will end high school with a 3.8 GPA and a 25 or higher on my ACT. For college, my academic goal is to have over a 3.5 GPA.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
