I’m Nico Farinola I’ve been wrestling at Peninsula Wrestling Club since I was 3 years old. I’ve always loved wrestling and learning new moves to try out. Freshman year I qualified for state and saw what it’s like. I took second in Oregon State for Greco Roman. Sophmore year 2022-2023 I took 4th at state for folkstyle at the OSAA state tournament, second for freestyle, and first for Greco Roman in the state. I was 3 matches from placing at Fargo Nationals in 2023 for Greco Roman. Putting me in the top 24 at Fargo for Greco Roman at 120 pounds. Junior year I was injured for majority of the season, but came back and wrestled at districts. I took first place without a single point scored on me, I also won the outstanding wrestler for the PIL.(my district) At state I lost in the quarter finals, then wrestled back to the third and fourth place match and took down the kid I lost to earlier. I ended up getting 3rd at the OSAA state tournament.
