I have wrestled and played various other sports since I was in elementary school. Over the years, my passion for wrestling has surpassed my interest in all other activities and has become part of my life. I love the thrill and challenge each time I get on the mat. Of course, losses could be tough to handle at times, but that’s what makes me stronger. Like my coach always tells us that wrestling teaches us endurance, discipline, responsibility and hard work.
I made into the varsity team with Conestoga High School wrestling program since I was a freshman. In the past two seasons, I endured hunger from weight cutting, grueling training at and outside of the school, the hurting and disappointing loss to qualify for the regional from last year. However, I always remembered: “what doesn’t kill you only make you stronger”. In the two seasons I have participated as a varsity wrestler, I have achieved 47 wins record freshman and sophomore seasons combined. I have participated, and placed third in the Henry E. Lackey Charger tournament in Maryland. Twice I have made to the district tournaments, and was a match away from regionals last season. I have an ambition to try even harder this year and next, and will strive for regional and state qualifier before my high school career is over.
I would love to become a varsity wrestler in the college with high accomplishments off the mat and in the classroom. It is my wish to find a college that can push myself both in the classroom and on the mat and help me achieve these goals.

P.S.
It's been a heart-wrenching season which ended prematurely due the medical injury of my elbow a week before the sectional championship. This was the second injury during the season after the injury that took place during the Glen Jones at Lackey in Maryland at the beginning of the season. Though my wrestling performance was slightly as a result, I am very proud of my wrestling performance during the season, With the certified weight class of 132lb (actual weight of 127lb at the beginning of the season), I wrestled up for 138lb weight class for most of the matches (most of which I managed to win) throughout the season to help earn the team's overall record. How I wished to wrestle for the post-season with 132lb!! This makes me even hungry for next season. I will be working super hard to prepare and position myself for the best performance ever this coming year.
