Scott Gilman '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Scott Gilman. I am a junior at the Fusion Academy, I use to go to the Phelps school, but god has a different pathway for me with my high school career. I am looking to achieve my dream of being able to step on the mat in college. Due to some personal issues, I was not able to achieve what I wanted to last year. My sophomore season was cut short. My sophomore year helped me for the better. I have had a complete change in all forms of my life . This year, I’m looking to make a really big comeback. From where I was during the wrestling season  when I had to stop and where I am now there’s been a lot of progress with myself. I know that without hard work, focus, and dedication I will not be able to achieve what I want to achieve. I am a very open man, I would be happy to talk about my personal issues that I dealt with last year. I plan on showing my skills in the spring time during the freestyle and greco season. I also forgot to speak about my accomplishments my freshman year. I took sixth at states, and at national preps I qualified but I did not place. Without God and action nothing will happen. I am willing to do whatever it takes as an athlete to help my team get a win. I win with grace, and I lose with grace. I am very coachable.  I’m a leader. I love wrestling and I’m great full for everything that it has done to me so far. I just can’t wait to start the next chapter in my story, my college career, and I pray that someday soon I will know where I will be wrestling in college.
