I am a dedicated athlete in my junior year of high school wrestling. I have one goal for my four years of high school wrestling, and that is to win a state championship. I train rigorously day after day for the title. I understand that the championship is not attached to anyone and they're people working to achieve it as well, but I know I have what it takes to reach it. I have the determination, work ethic, and drive to earn it. Despite not having an ideal start, my freshman year went 11-14, and falling in the 3 round of consolation of the section tournament. I trained hard all summer long and came back placing 2nd in the league conference and then going back to section/district placing 2nd for my ticket to regional in my sophomore year. Currently, in my junior year, I am 14-1 on the season I strive much more than in my prior year in the sport. I have been a 2 year captain of my team at Academy Park helping my teammates get better along the way and I hope to lead them to more duel wins in the near future. While I am focused on my own success, I also take pride in helping my teammates improve whether it’s staying after practice to work on moves with younger wrestlers or encouraging others during tough matches, I always strive to contribute to the team's growth and motivation. After high school, I hope to get a chance to wrestle at the college level.
