Parker Smith '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a three year varsity starting wrestler but have wrestled for 10 years. It has always been a goal of mine to wrestle during my college career. I have improved my skills drastically in the past 3 years by attending clubs, camps, clinics, and extra practices, anything for extra mat time. During the season of 2019-2020 I received the Fletcher-Bissett Memorial Award for the Most Outstanding Wrestler of WGHS.  I was the leader in statistics on my team at the end of the 2021-2022 season.

I have the heart and dedication that it takes to get to the next level. One thing my coach, Mr. Johnston has always said about me is, "no one works harder in the room".  

When our enrollment was depleted I recruited individuals to grow our team. Over the past 5 consecutive years this took place and now we have a full line up.  

While wrestling is extremely important to me, I am also a member of the National Honors Society and carry an average GPA of 3.7.
