Personal Statement

I am a student athlete who would like to pursue my dream of competing at the collegiate level while earning my undergraduate degree.  You could say wrestling is in my blood. My Dad was a Division I, All-American at the University of Illinois in 98 and an Illinois high school state champion.   When I was younger, we would attend the state tournament and NCAA Championships and my appreciation for the sport grew from there.

I am diligently training in order to reach my high school goal of becoming a Texas State Champion my Junior year. I was the District Champion in my Sophmore year, third at Regionals, and then qualified for State.  I fell short of placing at State and ended up in the 7th -8th spot.  But that loss has only motivated me to work harder to improve.  To further hone my skills, I compete at national tournaments and  I have aspirations of being an  All-American at  the national level.  I have also been fortunate to be a part of Team Texas and I am proud to represent Texas on the mat.  Meeting other wrestlers from Texas, interacting with different coaches, and the competitive nature of the national duals is something I will always be grateful for. This summer, June 2022, I attended University of Illinois Intensive Wrestling Camp. At the end of the week, I was given the  Gatorade hard work and dedication award.  I am a leader on and off the mat and was named a captain for the 2022-23 wrestling year at Cinco Ranch High School.

I also compete off the field. High academic standards are an expectation in my family and I achieved Katy, Texas ISD All-District Academic Wrestling Team as a Freshman and Sophomore. I will continue to work hard to receive this recognition again during my Junior year.

I am also a member of various service leagues which work to assist the less fortunate communities in the area. To date, I have completed 30 hours of community work.  I also spend time fishing with my younger brother, Max and my Dad.

I love God, my family, wrestling, and enjoying my life with friends and teammates.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
