My goal is to obtain a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, by way of wrestling and academic abilities to obtain scholarships.
Being bullied during my younger years from Kindergarten thru 6th Grade, although I trained in martial arts since 4 years old, I was not allowed to use martial arts to defend myself, no matter what. Many times, I went home crying. My parents believed that it was more important for me to know and understand how it felt to be bullied and that it would be easier for me to see when bullying happens to other kids. My dad always said that one day, the bullying will stop, but its important that you are prepared to help others who will need it. As a senior in High School, it was easy to see when other kids were bullied just by watching their expressions. Knowing what they were going thru made it easy for me to approach the individual and be friends with them, as well as stopping the person that was bullying the kid.
Wrestling has taught me that in order to succeed in anything, you have to put in the time, stay focused, be willing to fail, keep getting up, and continue to learn, even after falling or failing. Never leaving anything to chance and always giving everything you have. For these reasons, I believe I would be a good candidate for your team.
