I started wrestling in the 6th grade after one of my football coaches told me I should join the wrestling team. I had never thought about wrestling before, but I wanted to try it. I found out I love the sport of wrestling and I am good at it. I decided in the 7th grade that I wanted to wrestle in college, and I knew that I would have to work extremely hard to catch up with some of my competitors who had been wrestling since they were very young. I never miss a practice and give all I’ve got at every one. I attend camps and the off-season practices and workouts. I am very disciplined and always strive to become better. Wrestling has taught me about the importance of discipline, dedication, sacrifice, hard work, and determination. My hard work has earned me a conference championship, runner-up in conference, regional champion, 2nd place regional placement, runner-up in WVSSAC state championship 2023, and WVSSAC state placer my freshman and sophomore year. I hope to better those achievements next year. Although I am unsure of what I would like my career to be, I enjoy history and world affairs and would like to study these subjects in college while being a college wrestler.
