I broke my nose in the first match at the Wisconsin State Qualifier. I lost that match and ended up wrestling back through the bracket to take 2nd place at the Qualifier with a broken nose. That was the highlight of my 8th grade year. I ended up with Influenza B at State. I decided to still wrestle I ended up 2-2 at State, I didn't place but it was a great experience. This experience helped me grow as a person and lead me to re-focus my own efforts on becoming healthy and stronger.
I am fortunate enough to be able to start at a new wrestling school. I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, and feel the program will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I feel this program will help me get to my collegiate goals. I am a hard worker on the mat and off the mat. In the summer I work at a kennel training hunting dogs. During the school year I focus on my school and wrestling. I am so excited for my freshman year of wrestling.
