Personal Statement

My goals for after high school are to combine playing college baseball and earn a college degree in a competive environment. I work hard in the classroom and on the baseball field. I am a competitor on the field.   I represent myself, my family, my school, and my community positively.

I look forward to baseball season every year , and working to improve in the off season and summer ball season. I put in the extra time and work to build my skills and knowledge of the game.  I understand the value of putting the work in.

What motivates me with baseball is playing on a team, my team mates, competition, and being a leader.

I love the action behind the plate and being a leader on the team.

Academically, I’ve always challenged myself taking advanced and AP classes, as well as a Dual Enrollment course in Biology.  I understand the importance of getting a great education and making it my priority. I have a 24 on my ACT and an 1100 on my SAT.

  • Connor you have a bright future. You most definitely have the skill set to play at the next level. Solid defensive catcher with advanced catch and throw skills. Athletic for the position, running a 7.0 60. Bat is line drive oriented with slight hook. Work to use the middle more. (Per written evaluation.)

  • Athletic catcher who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish he uses his feet well in working in line to his target through a clean transfer/exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times show a range of 2.01 to 2.12 with accuracy on throws. Displays a soft glove and sticks the ball well in the zone. Times will drop as he builds more arm strength with long toss. Uses his body through the blocking process and is a wall behind the plate. At the plate he shows as squared up. Hands are quick and works through an aggressive swing path. Stays inside the ball, utilizes all fields and flashes gap to gap pop. With 3 years to further develop has potential and will get looks from collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game. Selected as an Under Armour Pre-Season All -American. Chris Brown , Senior Player Deveopment Coordinator.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
