jonathan Rilling '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jonathan Rilling, I have been playing baseball since I was five. For most of my years i have played AA travel ball for Strathmore. In 2018 I was selected to play for the Zone 2 team for the Alberta summer games, my team ended up winning the tournament. In 2020 I played AAA for the Calgary Redbirds and it wasn't much of a season as covid was just getting started. In 2021 i played AA again for the Calgary Cardinals, I was the starting SS and one of the top pitchers on the team as I topped out at 85 mph from the mound with a Knuckle curve and change up. My team was able to win two tournament throughout the season and then ultimately come out and win the Teir 1 Provincials which was a huge accomplishment. Just recently I also found out that I won the 2021 U18 baseball Alberta player of the year award. I work hard for everything and I am very competitive. I try to be a leader when I can and step up in big situations. I have fun and I love baseball it is a huge part of my life and I just want to be able to continue playing for as long as I can at  competitive level. Thank you.
