Brady Sandes '21 Recruiting Profile

My ultimate goal is to get drafted, and I believe in myself enough to know this is attainable. However, I will not sacrifice the opportunity to get a degree in case my dream to play baseball gets derailed because of something out of my control. 

During my baseball career, I have frequently been the youngest player competing for a spot on a rep team of older players and have always made those teams. And on each of those teams, I've earned a starting spot early in the season despite my age, and kept it throughout. This has given me the ability to approach this sport with humility, but also recognize I am expected to act in a role as a leader. 

Last year, when I tried out for--and made--our association's College Prep team as a 10th Grader among a slew of high school seniors, I knew baseball was a long-term option for me.  And I've focused on creating goals and achieving them throughout the past year, including representing British Columbia on our provincial team. 

I am prepared for this journey.
