My name is Brayden Mayencourt and I'm a hardworking baseball player. I am truly dedicated to this sport and I am an athlete who knows the game of Baseball. My most important accomplishments as a baseball player are: Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team in 2019, Team British Columbia 16U in 2019 and Big League Experience Scout Team in 2019 at the Martin Luther King Perfect Game tournament where I was named to the All-tournament team with a .666 AVG, and a 1.417 OPS. I have played in the BCPBL for the past 4 seasons, with the Langley Blaze in 2017 and the Whalley Chiefs from 2018 until present.
I am a 5'11", 185lbs middle infielder from Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. I will graduate in 2021 as an 18 year-old. I have an 84% grade point average and I will be writing the SAT as soon as the Covid19 pandemic allows it. Academically, I am most proud of being chosen as an ambassador for Fleetwood Park Secondary and the province of British Columbia at the Canadian Student Leadership Conference in 2019.
As a teammate and player: I am versatile, have a team first mentality and will do what is asked of me to make the team and my teammates stronger. Marty Lehn, (former Canadian National Team Head Coach and Milwaukee Brewers Scout), has said about me, “Brayden can play any position on the field and you wouldn’t be able to tell which is his primary”.
When choosing a school, I am looking to find the right balance between the classroom and the field. Ideally, I would like to be a part of a team where I could make an immediate impact. What I offer is a promise to always work hard and never give up. I strive to be the first player on the field, the last player off the field, and I am prepared to spend the time it takes in study hall to maintain above average grades.
I believe a DII, NAIA or Junior College would be the best fit, although I would consider any school and program that meets my academic needs. My goal is to move on to a Dl program after 2 years. When it comes to choosing a school to attend, my options are widespread. I am looking at west coast states (Washington, Oregon, Arizona, California, etc.) as family is important to me, proximity to BC Canada is also important. I am however, open to going anywhere if the “fit” is right. My top two choices for a major as of right now are Education, Kinesiology and Sign Language.
My dream is to play Major League Baseball. My goals are: to inspire my teammates, to pass on my love and knowledge of the game to future generations, to play at the highest competitive level I can and to be an example to players who come after me.
Sincerely,
Brayden Mayencourt
