Drew Baskin '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Drew Baskin and I’m a middle infielder from Arroyo Grande, California, and will graduate in 2021. I have a 3.87 GPAand currently play varsity baseball for my high school as well as with my two club teams. Those teams are the California Wahoos based in Los Angeles, California, and the Ventura Coastal Cubs based in Ventura, California. 

I feel that I have many outstanding qualities that would contribute to a team. These qualities are work ethic, leadership, heart, drive, and integrity. I have been a team captain on many of the teams I have played on, and possess leadership qualities that my teammates and coaches respect. Hardwork and dedication are the foundation of my work ethic not only on the field, but in the classroom. I have dedicated my life to being the best athlete, student and person I can be. Putting in hard work consistently on the field to better my game, and in the classroom to improve my education is something that my parents have instilled in me since I was little. I have never been the biggest and strongest guy, however, I will out work everyone on the field. Integrity is another thing my parents have instilled in me since I was little. The way you carry and represent yourself, along with interacting with others are characteristics that represent me, my family, and will be carried throughout my life. 

The college that interests me the most is a place that can support my academic needs and gives me a well-rounded four years. It has been my dream and long term goal to play college baseball. I have worked extremely hard to make my dream come true. I will dedicate everything I have athletically and academically to whichever college gives me the opportunity.
