Malachi Maestas '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Malachi Maestas, I am 17 years old, and I am a Senior at Barstow High School, scheduled to graduate June 1, 2023. I am 6' 3", 216 lbs. My collegiate goals are to continue my studies and to receive my degree in Sports Medicine, Information Technology, or Engineering. My current GPA is 4.1. I have worked to keep my grade point average above a 3.0 and will continue to do so at the college level. I am a dedicated student athlete and know I will be a good candidate to any college team, because of my work ethic, and my God given talent. I have the ability to hit for a high average and with power. My sophomore year, I was a key player in assisting my team in reaching the semifinals for Barstow High School. This was the first time in Barstow High School's history that their baseball team went this far, and I am proud I was able to accomplish this along with my teammates. My junior year we reached the CIF playoffs, and my goal this year is to lead my team to win the CIF Championship for our division. I believe I am different from other recruits because I am dedicated to my training and have the will to constantly improve. Although I have had a lot of success in high school, I have not reached my sealing of success. I will continue to reach my goals at the college level in the classroom and on the baseball field.
