Hello Coaches, my name is Jack Rosgen. I have been playing baseball almost my whole life, and I find it to be my personal relief from the chaos of the rushing world around me. Until recently, I was not playing with a specific intent or goals in mind. Halfway through eight grade, I realized my true love for the sport, and that I wish to play highly competitive baseball at a high academic college or university. I enjoy a challenge, which is also why I enjoy baseball as well as pursue academic excellence. Our beloved sport is filled with intricate details that are unrecognizable to an untrained eye. My favorite part of baseball is the mastery of those thousands of details and I aspire to work to perfect my craft both offensively and defensively.
I am also an Eagle Scout and I take honors and AP classes while earning nearly straight A's. I strive to achieve to the best of my abilities at all time, and I take pride in my strong work ethic and deliberate mindset that I apply to each day. The same goes for baseball, where again I always put my best self on the field, and to do that requires putting in full effort. However, I also understand that even if I may put in that full effort, I still might fall short. I have learned to accept that, and even use it as encouragement to push myself higher and achieve more. I also know that you can never have enough knowledge and that you are never perfect, but I personally am dead-set on coming as close to that mark of perfection as possible.
Finally, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile and possibly even consider me for your program. I feel very blessed to even be a part of this process and I hope the best for all of you.
