August 2018Personal Statement
- My name is Trent Nielsen and I attend Carlsbad High School (2021 graduation) in Carlsbad, CA. For my Freshman year, I started 27 out of 29 games on Varsity. I finished the season batting .321 with 5 Home runs and 18 RBI's. Finished second on the team in all those categories (Just behind my Brother Garret, who attends The University of California on a baseball scholarship). I led all Freshman in Home runs and Slugging % in San Diego county. I currently play Summer travel ball with The Show 15/16u Baseball managed by Brian Cain (619-248-9696) and Anthony Stabile (619-488-7375) located in San Diego CA. I am interested in learning about your school and potentially playing baseball at the next level! A few facts about myself; I'm 6'4" and 250 lbs. I play 1B and the corner outfield positions, along with being a RHP. Along with baseball, I also played JV football (I started as a Freshman playing both ways), and varsity basketball (as a power forward). Just like my sporting career, I am also a hard worker in the classroom having achieved a 3.88 GPA this year (cumulative is 3.6 GPA) and was recognized on the Principal's Honor Roll.
