My name is Joe Breslin, I am a scholar and an athlete, and will be an asset on and off the field. In college, I want to be able to constantly challenge myself and chase after my dreams of going to medical school or a school of pharmacy so that I can grow up and help people for a living. I, along with my mom and brother, run a not for profit charity that is based on helping people through sobriety and other life traumas more specifically pertaining to teens. We mainly collect donations as our main source of income for the business as all donations are tax deductible so other business' are more likely to donate. I value my ability to lead but more importantly bring out the best in the other players on the team. I love the feeling of bringing a team to its best where everyone is able to fall into a position where they can play as free as possible. Along with being a great teammate, challenging myself through academics, on the field, or in the weight room is also something that I hold very dear to myself since the idea of being at a very young age. Tackling a new challenge is something I enjoy a lot and has engrained its way into my personality through everything that I do. As a character, I am a funny outgoing person but I also know when its time to get to business and buckle down. I have been a major weight room advocate for the past couple of years mainly focusing on being as strong as possible making my way up to a 235 bench, a 325 squat, a 365 conventional/375 sumo/435 trap, and a 1000 leg press just for the fun of it. By the end of my senior year I would like to have at least a 265 bench, 360 squat, and 405+ conventional. I love becoming stronger in all aspects of my life and I want to help the rest of my teammates feel that same motivation for getting better. I love baseball, along with the people you meet and the great feeling of winning you get, and playing in college would be a dream come true especially if it could help achieve my goal of getting my M.D or PharmD.
