Lucas Casazza '22 Recruiting Profile

I'm primarily interested in majoring in Business Administration, and want to join a team where I can make a significant difference.  I currently have a 4.4 Sophomore - Junior year GPA.  I started playing competitive soccer at age 4, still love the sport, and want to play in college and beyond.  I'm currently 17 years old, a Senior in high school, and started on my Varsity team the last 3 years.  This year I am a team captain.

For the last 4 years, I've played in the DA program with the Nomads, LA Galaxy San Diego, and Surf Soccer.  While I have been growing 'at pace' for my age, I had not been overly tall for my age, and while having strong skills, have been overlooked for taller goalkeepers in the past.  I have caught up now, am 6'2",  and am still growing.  I am currently playing on the San Diego Surf U18 ECNL team, and the San Dieguito Academy Varsity team.

I believe I have developed a lot of character while 'grinding it out'.  Last season I was named captain, and MVP of my team while playing up a year.  I've also played, and won, in a lot of high pressure games like Cal South Presidents Cup, Surf Cup (twice), Surf Thanksgiving Cup (twice), and Manchester City Cup (twice).  I've also taken on leadership roles on my teams, and school, and last year was the Junior Director of my class and am now the school Treasurer.

To any team I will bring my passion, work ethic, optimistic attitude, sense of humor, skills, good luck, and promise to put the team first.
