Joel Castillo '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a high school junior who has been a varsity player for the last two years.  My exit velocity is 89, my arm velocity is 84, and my 60 yard dash is 6.84.  I am a middle infielder but am willing to play wherever I am needed in order to help the team win.  I am an Under Armor 2019 Preseason All American.  I am always the first one on the field and the last one off the field, I train with the team and weight lift daily on my own.  I work hard, train hard, and play hard, but I also know how to be there for my teammates on and off the field. 

I have a 3.6 GPA and am taking AP and Honor classes.  I will take the SAT at the end of March.

I am looking for a school which will allow me the opportunity to continue to play baseball and will also allow me the ability to pursue an education which will lead me to a career in medicine.   I love playing baseball and I want to see how far baseball will take me.  Ideally, I would like to be at a program which will allow me to make a contribution as a player and will allow me to pursue my educational goals.   I would love to stay in California, but I am willing to play wherever an opportunity arises.
