"Height Doesn't Measure Heart" (HDMH) is a movement started by Marcus Stroman, but a mantra I've been living all my life. Growing up and always being the shortest player on the field, having to prove myself time and time again, has never discouraged me. In fact, it has pushed me to work harder on my technique and fundamentals. Having to overcome others' quick judgments have made me resilient, determined and committed. My goal is to always have the best fundamentals and the highest baseball IQ of any player, on every field I take. I pride myself in being coachable; always listening, learning and applying whenever possible. I love the game of baseball. I love the process of getting better. And, I love being a part of a team.
In a time of baseball where most judge by numbers, I'm doing all I can to constantly improve mine, but I don't let them define me. I'm a young person with an old baseball soul. Baseball comes down to "Can he play?" or "Can't he play". I want to reassure you, I can play.
