Personal Statement

Hello my name is Brady Veltien -

I am in the Class of 2020 at Mead High School in Mead Colorado.

Baseball along with athletics in general have always been a major part of my life.  I love learning about the game of baseball and I enjoy the grind of always trying to improve my game in every way possible. My goal for college is to most importantly obtain a degree; however I want to continue to play baseball as well.  I have been fortunate enough to play on two state championship club teams and have been blessed with the opportunity to play in awesome venues like Wichita State, Oklahoma, Oral Roberts University, and Oklahoma State while playing against great competition.

I currently have a 3.8 GPA/ 4.1 Weighted GPA and I have mainly taken honors level courses along with my first AP class this year. I plan on next year taking more honors courses along with two more AP classes. I take pride in my academics and always try my best. Outside of the classroom,  I am a three year member in Student Council and an active member in the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) in my school. In addition I am a member of the National Honors Society. I take pride in being a leader in my school and I enjoy helping make key decisions that benefit everyone.

Apart from baseball, I love playing football. Last year I played Quarterback for my football team. I was a team captain and I helped lead the team into the playoffs where we lost in the quarterfinals.

Thank you for reading my personal statement.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
