I consider myself one of those higher level ability baseball players that has flown under the radar until July 15th, 2020 for two reasons. The first is I was recruited to play baseball at Choate in my 10th grade at Southington CT. High School. I not only wanted to play for Choate, but I also wanted what I considered to be, a fantastic opportunity for a Higher Level of Education. I had been thinking about the "College Prep" experience since 9th grade. Because of this change in schools, my first year on the Choate Varsity Baseball Team, I never started a game. I did end up leading the team in middle inning relief appearances as a sophomore, but I knew then that I was flying under the radar. The second reason is because of COVID-19. The 2020 Season was going to be my Big Break out year! I was already listed as one of the primary starters for the 2020 Season just before COVID-19 struck us all. I consider my self to be a solid Two Position Player. I not only consider myself a very good Left Handed Pitcher, I consider myself a very good right handed hitter who hits with power. My Collegiate goal is to play Div I Baseball. Has been since I played T-Ball at 6 years old. I consider my self to be a 1 "percenter." Meaning I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't chase after girls. (I have goals and dreams) I work on my craft everyday trying to get better everyday. I work with a Professional Strengthening and conditioning Coach 5 days a week. I work with a former MLB Pitcher on my pitching. I work with a former UCONN Shortstop, who still holds a unique UCONN Home Run record for UCONN Shortstops on my hitting because I am never satisfied. When the team practice is over or the Game is over and while everyone is on their way home, you will find me working in the cage, working off the tee always trying to get better. What changed for me on July 15th, 2020? I was at a PBR (Prep Baseball Report) prospect event. 100 players were in attendance that day. Out of the 100 players, only one other person had a higher exit velocity than me of 1mph. I was one of the two wiyh the highest at 97mph. I also believe that I lead the group in the amount of "out-of-the-park" hits that day. When it comes to academic life, when I am not in class and not working out or playing in my respective sport, you will find me hyper focused on my studies. If you can't find me in the Library, you will find me seeking extra help with my teachers. My ideal moments of socializing are those moments I spend with and helping Veterans, helping Senior Citizens stay as independent as possible, working as a Volunteer in a soup kitchen, mentoring elementary school students in Music (I play the piano) and mentoring Little League aged boys in the fundamentals of Baseball. Would sincerely love the opportunity to speak with you about my College Baseball aspirations. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.
