Personal Statement

I was born in Norman, Oklahoma, at 2 I moved to Chicago, Illinois, at 6 I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, and at 7 I moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and later to Chappaqua, NY. I began my basketball career at age 9 playing for my school team and instantly fell in love with the game. I started to get serious about basketball when I was about 12, when I attended a John Lucas camp in Las Vegas. When I was 11 I went to a sports academy in Florida, IMG Academy, for two weeks. After attending camp for my second year I decided that I wanted to go to school there. I attended IMG Academy through 10th grade, then reclassed to 2022 and moved to Choate Rosemary Hall last year.

In addition to all my time spent playing basketball, I currently maintain a 4.0 GPA and I have already taken several high school honors courses. I hope to find a college with the right fit so I can pursue my dreams in basketball as well as in the classroom.

Most recently, given all of the events around COVID, I have decided to re-class into the class of 2023. I will be graduating from Choate, and then will be looking for a location for a Post-Graduate year.
