June 2021Personal Statement
I have wanted to play baseball in college since I started on coach-pitch teams. I have always been athletic and a team player, and the hard fought tournament victories through the years stand out among my most memorable accomplishments. Like many athletes, I have excelled at a number of sports, from placing in Virginia state championship finals in swimming at age 10, to helping lead my high school baseball team to its highest Delaware state ranking this year.
Some of my strongest influences have been my excellent coaches, whether volunteers or professionals. They love what they do and they encourage the tenacity and self-knowledge that benefit their players in every part of life.
I am looking forward to a college where I can be around student-athletes who value learning more than getting a grade. I am honored to be a valued leader on my baseball teams, where my reputation is for "calm Energy."
