Evan Vickaryous '23 Recruiting Profile

I'm a competitor who puts my team first. When bases are loaded, and there are two outs, I’m often the designated hitter to bring home a run. I’m a true utility player and am willing and able to be coached for any position you need. As a member of a 2019 Florida high school football state championship team, I can take and give a hit. Getting dirty while sliding into home doesn't bother me. Defensively, I’m a strong and reliable third baseman and often play all outfield positions. I have a strong throwing arm and can throw from the outfield to home plate. In a pinch, I've been trained to be a catcher. 

I'm a leader in all aspects of my life. A life-long scout and outdoorsman, I will be a BSA Eagle Scout by the end of 2021.  Elected as class president for the second time, I enjoy serving my schoolmates. I have been recognized for my community leadership by global companies such as Walt Disney Co., receiving the 2019 Disney Dreamer and Doer Award. I'm in my fifth year leading my own charity,  The Annual Holiday Sock Drive (sockdrive.net), a charity giving thousands of socks each year for children in need (from generous donors across our nation and the world).  I'm a leader in my faith, and have the inner courage to live, show, and share Christ.
