Gabriella Chen '21 Recruiting Profile

Throughout my life soccer has been one of my strongest passions, and I have such a strong desire to succeed through athletics. I’ve dreamed of playing at college level, and I want to be able to accomplish my dreams one day. My goals and aspirations are to go to a college where I can major in something I love, and I am hoping to study in business or law.  I would love to play for a well built college with an outstanding team and atmosphere. Throughout my career I’ve had a starting position as the varsity goalkeeper from 7th grade to my senior year at The Masters Academy. I’ve always loved playing high school soccer because it offers me an opportunity to grow from my teammates and also be a distinguished leader to everyone.

In addition to varsity I played for Florida Kraze Krush until my senior year where I now am participating in Orlando City’s ECNL Regional team. My eighth grade year was my first year playing competitive soccer and I fell in love with it. Club gives me such great insights on how to become an outstanding athlete and to understand the commitment and responsibilities that come with it. This past year I have come learned that academics are the key principle to fulfilling this career. My grades will determine how far I can successfully succeed in life and soccer. I aim for A’s and B’s, and I try my best throughout the school year. I balance my academics and athletics very well because I wish to succeed in both. Taking this next step in my life is such an amazing experience for me, and I am hoping accomplish something incredible.
