Collegiate Goals: My goals are to graduate college as a member of a baseball team, grow as an individual, and to be the best person possible.
College Aspirations: Be a successful player in college, help my team reach the College World Series, graduate and hopefully have a chance of playing professional baseball.
What makes me a good candidate for your team:
Having grown up around baseball all my life, I have a better feel and understanding of what it takes to play baseball at the next level. My dad played at FSU and was fortunate to play several years in the Yankee Organization. He has coached high school for the past 30 years and has spent 20 years of his summers instructing potential pitchers at FSU camps. I spent a lot of time tagging along over the years and have been around many different coaches and FSU players who worked the camps. I've learned the importance of being “coachable”. Baseball is a team sport and I am and always will be a team player! I know the importance of winning but not above being a good person and a good teammate.
I never dreamed of fracturing my back (pars fracture) in the fall of both my freshmen and sophomore seasons, but it happened. Having spent many months in a back brace, I realized that things can change in an instant and not to take anything for granted. I also realized how much baseball meant to me. I was determined to put the hard work in that was necessary to get back on track to playing at the next level. All the hard work has been well worth it! After my freshmen season with limited time on the mound, I played summer ball with the Tallahassee 15U All-Star Babe Ruth Team and helped the team win the World Series in Longview, Washington. I was 2-0 on the mound and voted Defensive Player- 1st base. My Junior season was cut short by the corona virus and was having my best season ever on the mound. I continue to work on my game and staying in shape knowing my senior season is very important! I know all too well that baseball can end tomorrow, which is why a good education is extremely important to me. I maintain a good GPA and have been on the honor roll all 3 years!
