Ian Davis '10 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ian Davis and I am a 2010 graduate from Dunwoody High School in Dunwoody, Ga. I began my athletic career around the age of 4, competing in every sport my parents would sign me up for. Some of the sports included swimming, diving, soccer, baseball, football, basketball, wrestling and tennis. In my youth, I played sports to be with my friends and compete to be the best. Whatever sport the season called for, I was only focused on being the best in that particular sport. It was not until I was 10 years old that I started to pick my favorite sports, but I continued to still play them all. When I turned 13, I was invited to play on a select travel baseball team (Atlanta Bulls). That year I truly fell in love with the sport and began to have big dreams. I began to work very hard at baseball, and continued my basketball and football careers as well. I applied and was accepted into Wesleyan my 7th grade year, which at the time was a very strong athletic and academic AA school in Georgia. I continued to play football and baseball throughout my career at Wesleyan and have been a member of both JV and Varsity teams as a freshman and both Varsity teams as a sophomore. I transferred to Dunwoody High School in the fall of 2008 where I will continue my baseball career. I work very hard in my athletics, as well as in the weight room. I attended Pensacola State College on scholarship as a catcher my first semester of college and then transferred to USC - Sumter where I will attend my sophomore year as well. I also have a strong faith in Christianity, as it continues to be my motivation in life. A strong Christian school would also be a great option to transfer to after Sumter. I have dreams to transfer to a SEC/ACC school as well. I continue to set my goals very high, and plan on someday achieving these goals. I know that my vow to focus and hard work will allow me to further excel in this life-long sport.
