Hi, my name is Reese Rosen. I am 15 years old and I attend Dunwoody High School. My love for the game of baseball started in little league around 5 years old. Ever since my first season, my passion has only grown around baseball. Around 12 years old, I started to pride myself on leadership, communication and leading by example for my teammates and myself to be the best on the field. These characteristics have help me not only on the field, but off the field as well. For example, in both baseball and basketball, coaches can play me in any spot because of my leadership abilities and having a strong IQ in knowing what to do if the play comes to me. In baseball, I have started in every infield position from 13u-15u, as well as, started every position in basketball from point guard to center on my middle school and high school teams.
On that note, this year on Dunwoody High school basketball team, I was awarded coaches award for being a strong leader on the basketball court. Playing baseball has also taught me the importance of being coached and dealing with adversity in school. If I get a bad grade on a test, I work through it by advocating for myself by talking to my teacher on what I got wrong or going to a tutor to learn more about the subject. Throughout my middle and high school years, my teachers see me as a hard worker and I feel like my dedication and commitment in the classroom leads to my hard work on the field.
