Hello- My name is Cody “Roper” Weathersbee; I am going into my Senior year at Dodge County High School in Eastman, Georgia. I was born on June 5th, 2002 in Dublin, Georgia. I am currently 5’6” and 145 LBS. I am a right-handed hitter and right-handed thrower. My primary position is left field and my secondary position is center field, although I also pitch when called upon. To put it plain and simple, I am a ballplayer. I absolutely love the game of baseball. Since the age of four, I have played the game. I respect the game and all the people I have played with. I have had the opportunity to learn the game from many great coaches. I know without them I would not be the player that I am today. There is always more to learn. When I am not playing baseball or not in school, I enjoy working out and keeping up with what’s going on in the baseball industry. School and baseball take up most of my time. I try to lift three times a week with some fellow teammates from my high school team in the off-season. Over the winter months, I do speed and agility training. My parents are very positive people they have always supported me in baseball, which is one of the reasons I love playing so much. When it comes to college, I would like to major in physical therapy. As far as my most important accomplishments, I have played baseball since I was a freshman in high school. In addition, I started taking college classes in the beginning of my junior year. This was quite an accomplishment in my small town. In conclusion, I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm a hard worker. I try to be a better student, baseball player and person every day. On the field, I communicate clear and loudly. Off the field, I would say I am a little quieter than most. Coaches usually tell me that I am very coachable and always open to listening to advice.
Sincerely,
Roper Weathersbee
