"I never lose. I either win or learn." I have been raised with strong values. My Christian faith never allows me to forget "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." At an early age, I was taught that there would be times that I would win, but there would also be times when the game wouldn't end in a "win", but I would always be able to reflect and "learn" a lesson from it. I was introduced to the game of baseball at the age of one. My dad coached semi-pro/men amateur baseball so, I would always have a ball and a glove in my hands. I was finally able to play the game at the age of three. At that time all I knew was that I was having fun and after the game, I would get a treat. As I became older, I began to learn the game of baseball a deep passion and love for the game grew. There was nothing like hearing my bat connect with the baseball. I would watch my baseball role model Jason Heyward as he played baseball and even when he was off the baseball field. He always held his head high even when his stats were not the best. He continued to bring his best energy no matter what. This has helped me because I am very hard on myself. Although I know that it's important to give yourself grace I do not like to let the team down. I have strong work ethics in both academics and athletics. I have a 3.9 GPA. I'm the starting center fielder and left fielder on my varsity team and travel baseball team. I also play corner, safety, slot receiver, and running back for my varsity football team. It doesn't stop there because I run the 100-yard dash, 200-yard dash, and the 4X100m for the varsity track team. I am looking for a college with a strong academic program as well as a competitive athletic program. My goal is to play college baseball and pursue a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.
