I have been playing soccer for 11 years. I lettered as a freshman on my high school varsity soccer team where I received the best midfielder award. Also during my freshman year, I was named All-Region third team as a midfielder. I am a very aggressive and physical player as well as being strong mentally, and I understand the game. Some things I have learned about myself while playing this sport is that I am much tougher than I thought (mentally and physically) and I learned how to deal with a loss. Instead of getting upset, beating myself up, and wanting to quit, I learned to do better the next time. My academic goals for high school and college are to maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher and graduate with honors. One obstacle I had to overcome is dealing with overlapping schedules since I have very busy days considering that I play three sports (soccer, volleyball, and swim). In addition, I have been a certified soccer referee for three years. Some unique characteristics or skills I possess are having a powerful left foot, being very physical, and knowing and understanding the soccer game. It is my dream to play collegiate soccer at any school that affords me the opportunity to play the sport I love.
