Personal Statement

Playing baseball in college and considering the possibilities of playing at the professional level has long been my focus. As a student of the game, I believe that I posses a high degree of baseball IQ. Additionally I am mindful and thankful for the athleticism I have been blessed with. When giving thought to college selection I would like to most importantly attend a school where I can obtain a superior education. I know that if I am further blessed to play professionally, at some point my career will end and I will need to transition to another professional pursuit. Beyond the academics, it is important for me to play for a coach who believes in uplifting and guiding his players not only on the field but in life.

Selected for Top Prospect List & Top Prospect Team. Adam Love is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Lassiter. Large and athletic frame. Broad shoulders with strength and very mature physically. Ran a 6.78 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Gets to the baseball with quick footwork. Fields with quick and clean hands. Plays through actions maintaining momentum throughout. Lower arm slot creating very strong carry to the bag and getting on top of throws topping out at 90 MPH. Righthanded hitter with an even stance and leg lift trigger for timing. Direct path to the baseball swinging with intent to drive to the gaps. Has some pop off the barrel projecting for more power moving forward. Righthanded pitcher with a simple delivery. Longer arm action in the back with a quick arm stroke into a lower three-quarter arm slot. Solid and late arm side run as well as some sink with heavy life through the zone at 87 MPH. Mixes in a good changeup with developing sinking life. Named to the 2019 National Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.

Selected for Top Prospect List & Top Prospect Team. Adam Love is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Roswell, GA who attends Lassiter. Medium and athletic frame, present room to continue to fill out physically. Ran a 6.69 second 60 yard dash, aggressive runner with the speed to be disruptive on the base paths. Primary outfielder, comes through the baseball with athleticism, low arm slot throws with above average arm strength, topped out at 91 mph from the outfield. Secondary righthanded pitcher, compact delivery with a long arm stroke in the back, works the arm through up to a low 3/4 arm slot, extended release, lands open coming down the mound, throws uphill at release, would like to see get more out in front at release, works quickly. Fastball is straight and topped out at 85 mph, flashed a changeup that showed potential with maintained fastball arm speed and fading action, showed promise on the mound but needs more reps at this time. Righthanded hitter, narrow set position, very quick hands to the baseball, could compliment those quick hands with more lower half implemented into the swing, gets mistimed and varying plane of swing, with more repeateded action he could really hit at a high level, made hard contact during round with extension out in front, flashed the potential but just needs some refining. Great student. Named to 2018 Sunshine Southeast Top Prospect List.
