Mason McGahey '17 Recruiting Profile

I have loved baseball my whole life.  I have played many sports - but my goal is, and always has been,  to play baseball in college.  I get A's and B's in school and have never been in trouble for any type of bad behavior.  I am very motivated to be the best ball player I can be - and put in extra work year around to achieve these goals.   My mom and dad were both college athletes and they taught me that good grades , character,  and work ethic are an important part of being able to play ball after high school.  I was selected as a Varsity starter in baseball my Freshman year of High School and am now in my Sophomore year as a return Varsity starter. I have also been the starting point guard for my school basketball team since the seventh grade, and a State track and field qualifier and record holder in 7th and 8th grade.  I was unable to continue track in High School as it conflicts with baseball.   I am not afraid of hard work, and no matter what it takes I continue to work to achieve my goals.
