No matter what, I will always keep my head to the sky. I do my best to uphold a good character on and off the field. I represent these values and am the person I am today because of my Christian beliefs. I’ve always played a bunch of sports as a kid (and I still am a kid), but I chose baseball because I’ve just had more fun playing it. In previous sports such as bowling and volleyball, I’ve had an opportunity to take on leadership roles and captain responsibilities. These leadership capabilities are what I believe have shaped me and will allow me to be an affective member of your baseball program.
With all of my success on and off the field, it has not come without challenges. I had sleep apnea and swollen turbinates. My nose was also too far to the left, so I could only breathe partially on one side. I played sports in that condition all my life, with some success, up until the middle of my sophomore year. I’ve had three surgeries to fix all that. Currently, I am gaining more stamina, because I don’t have to work as hard anymore for oxygen. This past season has been great and I am now hitting and fielding at a level I can be proud of. My mom works very hard to provide everything for me and I am grateful for this opportunity to hopefully play baseball at the college level.
