Hello- My name is Parker Engel; I am currently a sophomore at Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, IL. I was born January 28, 2005 in Chicago Heights, IL, but I currently live in St. John, IN. I am a right handed hitter and thrower. My primary positions is the middle infield but I have experience in all positions including pitching.
I love the game of baseball I am a ball player and I am proud to say that. I have played baseball since I was six years old playing in Little League till I was nine. I played travel ball first when I was nine for Rhino Baseball and I have been with them ever since. I have had the opportunity to learn this game and develop my skills from my coaches and dad who are always pushing me to do better. Without them I wouldn't be as good as a ball player as I am today.
When I am not playing baseball or not in school I am hanging out with friends or my family. I also play basketball for my school and I was on the freshman "A" team.
All throughout high school I am trying to make honor roll every semester and still do my best in sports. When it comes to baseball my parents are very supportive of me and I feel like that is why I love the game so much and I have played it for so long. When it comes to college I don't know what I would like to major in, but I am very interesting in architecture and engineering. My freshman year I made the sophomore team but we weren't able to play due to the pandemic.
In conclusion I would like to tell the college coaches interested in me that I am hard worker and that I am willing to play wherever I am needed. Everyday I try to become a better student, baseball player, and person. On the field I like to be the leader and take charge if needed. In the dugout I like to keep to myself and just pay attention to what is going on in the game rather than what is happening in the dugout. My coaches call me coachable and I do my best to make an impact wherever I am on the field whether its fielding, hitting, or running. Every game I give it my best because I hate to lose even though its part of the game it just sucks to try so hard but then not succeed.
