My name is Anthony Guy and I am in the class of 2019 and am done with my junior year at Lane Tech High School in Chicago, Illinois. I have been playing baseball since I was very young and I knew from the first day I stepped on the field that I loved it. My love for the game continued to grow as the competition increased. I am a right handed pitcher and I am able to play anywhere on the infield. I always set goals for myself and work hard to achieve those goals and my main goal is to get a good education and play baseball at a very competitive School. I am a student-athlete and the word student in student athlete has always came first. School has always been important to me as well as baseball because I was not allowed to play baseball if my grades were slipping so my love for the game made me do better in school. I have been on honor roll throughout high school. I currently have a 3.33 unweighted GPA and 3.93 weighted GPA. Just recently I was fortunate enough to be a Cubs Scholar and Chicago Scholar, which I received a $20,000 scholarship for college plus a mentorship to help me both academically and athletically. Upon my graduation at Lane Tech in 2019, I not only see myself playing for a very competitive school, but I see myself thriving in that environment because I know that the work I am putting in now and have been putting in for many years, will pay off. I am always the hardest worker on every single team I have been on and the reason for that is because I always strive to be the best I can be and natural talent only takes us so far. I have been captain on both my high school and travel team because I am a leader and encourage my teammates. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Thank You,
Anthony Guy
