Growing up as an athlete, I grew accustomed to making sacrifices to reach the next level. Without these sacrifices, I would not be where I am today. Staying up late at night to finish homework and missing social events to be at practices, games, tournaments, and competitions became my norm. Due to my athletic background, I know what it means to train hard and become better than my past self and withstand the pressure of performing in front of others while most importantly enjoying the process. Likewise, I know what it means to be a teammate and work with my peers for a common goal of individual and team success.
Academically, I am a strong and determined student. I currently attend Lane Tech, a selective enrollment college prep high where I am taking honors and AP classes. I am open to many college options, I hope to attend a large university where I will be able to receive a good education and be able to make an impact on a strong team. I am interested in going into a scientific field. My goals for the remainder of high school are to maintain my high GPA, continue to develop as a soccer player, and to find the university that is the best fit for me both academically and athletically.
