Steven (Eli) Duke '23 Recruiting Profile

     My name is Eli Duke.  I currently attend Flora High School in Flora, Illinois where I will be a 2023 graduate.  I am a three sport athlete playing football, basketball, and baseball.  While I enjoy playing all three sports, baseball is my passion.  I have loved the game for as long as I can remember.  Starting at age seven, I have played on several competitive travel teams throughout the Midwest. In my younger years I was mainly a catcher. As my baseball career has progressed I am now a dual position player sharing my time between third base and behind the plate. 

     I am confident that I would be a positive addition to a college baseball team. I have always been a quick learner, a hard worker, and a very competitive person .  Whether it's in the classroom or on the field my mentality is to push myself to succeed.  I pride myself in being a positive team player.  Encouraging my teammates to stay positive, focused, and committed to the game is vital to us succeeding as a team. 

     I have been very blessed with supportive parents and good coaches.  They have taught me many things and helped shape me into the person I am today.  It is my hope to be able to share the life lessons and skills they taught me by continuing my education and baseball career at the next level.
