Dillon Smail '22 Recruiting Profile

Since the day I was able to hold a bat, I knew I loved the game.  I have been playing travel baseball since I was 8 years old.  The past 4 to 5 years I have really gotten serious into baseball.  I have great characteristics that will be an asset your team.  I am dedicated and hard working and have a great work ethic.  Because of this, I set high goals for myself with sports as well as academics.  I am a team leader and easy to get along with.  I respect my coaches and am very coach-able.  I push myself to be the best person and player I can be because I am very self disciplined. 

I am a three sport athlete (baseball, basketball, and golf) while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.  As a freshman, I played JV and Varsity for both baseball and basketball.  I was the "athlete of the week" twice, once for baseball and the other for basketball.  As for baseball, I was awarded player of the game three times, the Mr Hustle award and tied for most stolen bases, for the JV season.  I also went 2/2 in stolen bases at the varsity level after being brought up from JV, mid season.   I want to pursue this passion by playing at the collegiate level.  I am looking for a college that has a great physical therapy or sports medicine program that will also allow me to play baseball at a competitive level.
